I'm just trying to get a feel for how much discussion of individual books members would like, bearing in mind that the more one discusses, the more spoilers there are likely to be!

Does anyone mind about the spoilers?

Should we keep some things secret, like endings and plot twists?

Should we keep detailed discussion to a minimum to protect the delicate eyes & ears of members who haven't read the book yet? wink.gif

Let me know what you all think....

Spin off separate threads for in-depth discussion between people who've already read the books, perhaps? It would be a bit annoying keeping track of things, but probably useful to have one "review" thread sans spoilers, and one "critique" thread where anything goes. They'd need to be clearly marked as such in the thread titles (or sub-titles).

Yes, that's certainly a way round the difficulty. Thanks!

Any other ideas? smile.gif

I personally don't like to know the end of a book, but I guess you could have a spoiler thread and then people could put a footnote saying there is further discussion in the spoiler list perhaps intended for those who have already read the book and want to discuss things further. I think you just need to make it clear that it's a separate part of the forum for more in-depth discussion and perhaps give books their own postings.
