Okay, time to start adding mine...

You can find details of mine, including excerpts, on my website. Also a couple of short stories. Front page of the website's here: http://www.julesjones.com

I mostly write cross-genre sf&f/romance, although this year I've branched out into contemporary romance. All of my longer pieces and some of the short ones are currently published by Loose Id, and thus are ebooks (although one title is also available in treeware). You can see all the cover art on one page on my author page at Loose Id. Since the first of mine was published in the first quarter that Loose Id was opened, they span the range of art quality from the first experiments to the current 'seriously pretty". :-)

My earliest long pieces are in The Syndicate, a science fiction comedy series written with my writing partner Alex Woolgrave. It's currently three volumes plus a novelette. The first two volumes are actually part 1 and 2 of a novel, which was serialised by the original publisher. Loose Id kept the serialisation in ebook when they picked up the series, but restored it to a single volume for the print edition.

There are two chapters from the first volume available on my website:

I've been at this game for a while, and I'm a natural novella writer -- it makes it easy to stack up titles. :-)

The next thing that came out was the first book of my dystopian sf series. Yes, it's romance complete with happy-for-now ending, even if it's dystopian sf. Currently two books (which are self-contained stories and don't need to be read in order), because I have a rather bad case of writer's block on the third.

Mindscan -- Captain Reeve convinces a tortured dissident to trust him with his life, but can Reeve persuade him that all his secrets are safe with him -- including the D/s desires he hides?
Pulling Strings -- Nick Farr. Politician. Idealist. Justin Hobb. Hacker. Cynic. All they have in common is not taking bribes. From anyone. That'll do for now.

You're very lucky - I seem to bounce between very short storiies which can be hard to place, and full scale novels which take me years to finish. wink.gif

Glad you've added details of your books, I'm off to look at them properly now.

On the other hand, mostly writing novella length is a large part of why I'm confined to ebooks... Still, I managed to get RWA pro-level royalties off both of the novels that came out this year, even if I don't have treeware to fondle.

Thank you, Shaz. :-) Though not everyone likes the book -- there's a one star review at Amazon. I'm not too unhappy about it, because he said *why* he didn't like the book, in a way that might well have people thinking, "Actually, I think I might like that." That sort of bad review I can live with.

And this is why my editor at Loose Id just laughs and says she'll expect to see it in a few months when I say I have an idea for a short story. A couple of years ago, I had an idea for a short story. By the time I'd finished it, it was a 58,000 word novel, and an idea for what became an 18,000 word sequel. And there's stuff in the ideas file for another book...
