I did a really 'unimpressed of Birmingham' review of this and managed to twist Sean & Greg's arm to print it in Velvet Mafia. LOL

It's published by Gay Men's Press. It's written by a gay man. So it should be a gay book, right?

Wrong.

There are a few brief mentions of homosexuality, but mostly used to explain why the central character *doesn't* like men, which is hardly sympathetic to the gay cause. And the much vaunted 'sexual triangle' is a married man (who died before the book starts) falling in love with his best friend, who is in turn in love with the married man's wife.

Added to that it's horribly 'tell' not 'show'.

I couldn't actually finish it.
